Not true. Please go back to 2003/2004...there were times she was “bratty.” You’re blinded by your opinion.

Plus, what Ariana doing is not bratty...again that word is terrible. She’s finding her voice...guess that’s bratty to you. No man would be described as bratty in this situation.

I didn't see any praise. I saw a lot of comments about how tone deaf it was, considering Janet got banned and fined for barely showing one nipple.

Oh there was plenty of thirsty admiration complementing him. Whether you consider that prays for Adam or not is not the point though, the point is that he will not be slut shamed. He will not have to have shows canceled on him. He will not lose out on contracts.

And that is bullshit.

louder for the people in the back! She would have probably said nothing if it wasn't for that man speaking lies about her, and diminishing her ability to put on a show overnight. All of yalll should take several seats

Im not here for Ariana tbh but she kept her mouth shut about it until one of the grammy producer told the press she wasnt going to perform because she didnt have the time to put out a performance and i guess she felt her work ethic was questioned and needed to defend herself

Someone with a brain.  Not that I really expected Marcus or Mark to have any sense of logic anyway.

The two situations are nothing alike. And Rihanna wasn’t going on and on about it afterwards either.

It’s really difficult for you to accept a female pop star being Number 1 who isn’t Britney, isn’t it?

Rihanna was “rumored” to have turned down an OFFER to play the half time show. Sources said it was in solidarity with Colin. Neither Rihanna nor the NFL made a statement on the matter.

See hows that’s different then getting in a public twitter beef after canceling your performance?

I have have no idea why Drake is skipping it so I don’t know her.

No, I don't see how its different at all. This is the same shit when Taylor was breaking records. You hate that someone you dislike is successful and that's fine, but you don't get to ignore facts and then use parts of a situation to your advantage. Ari said NOTHING until she was lied about publicly by the producer. I WOULD LOVEEEEEEE to see your reaction if Rihanna turned down the super bowl behind closed doors because she was taking a stand, and then having a producer on the show say she wasn't going to do it because she did not feel capable. I am SURE Rihanna would send out a message harsher than aris, who literally just explained the situation, and then politely wished him well. Done arguing with you about this because no matter what facts are presented, you don't seem to be capable of hearing anything other than what you want to believe, and my life, along with Ariana's, will be fine knowing you are wrong regardless of your opinion on the matter. so to quote Ari, I hope your Ariana/successful popstar hatred filled life is everything you want it to be and more 😘.

Everyone one comparing what Britney did to what is happening now ... you do realize social media was not a thing and the idea that she would never have done something like this is meritless. Posting random messages on her website and things like that would be a good indication that if old school Britney had a platform to voice her frustrations without handlers being able to step in, she would have, and we would have been here for it.

We finally see things for what they truly are.

I will be the first to admit I was pressed as fuck when Gaga first came out and actually most of the people here did the same,..after that though I just..grew up 😂

You may be right about about me if the situation was about Rihanna and not Ari, but they are still very different circumstances and one of them is only based on RUMORS.

Why can't we like music but dislike her tho?

Why can't you dislike her and her music without bashing her and undermining her success just because you don't like it? There is a difference in wanting to share your opinion on something/someone you do not like, and trying to ruffle feathers hoping for what I assume is the exact reaction you received. Nobody refers to someone standing up for themselves and someone who has gone through as much insane shit as Ariana has "bratty" and hoped for everyone to ignore or say "oh, what a valued opinion, thanks for sharing."

Yeah that's all I meant by that example.  That men can act really sexual and it doesn't ever make anyone question their talent or value as an artist.  But with women, people suddenly see them as "cheap" and "if they were actually talented, they wouldn't need to use that" etc.   And I'm thinking that's why they want to limit Ariana's song/performance choices.

And then they give song of the year to Ed sheeran's gross song about a one night stand and how his bed sheets smell like the women he had sex with.  And it beat a song about surviving sexual assault (yes I am still bitter).

Rihanna literally has an entire "badgalriri" persona.  She's been outspoken, pushed against the grain, used shock value, stood up for herself, fought against sexism/racism in so many ways.  She had a super sexual photoshoot in one of the most sacred mosques, had her share of twitter beefs, countless interviews that show her badass gives no fucks attitude.

I LOVE her for it but I don't get how you can call one artist "bratty" for calling shit out, standing up for herself,  and say that Rihanna is so different?

There is similarities with "thank u next" and what Britney was trying to do with "Original Doll". I think the major difference is Ari allowed her label to intervene and book in Max Martin sessions to keep everyone happy, whereas Britney stayed true to that album and didn't accept any influence from her label hence why they never allowed her to release it. Anyway the point of this rambling is Britney did do some not "bratty" things but some boss moves - like going against Jive to premiere Mona Lisa on radio. You could tell she had the intention of releasing the album and if streaming and the music industry was the way it is today I have no doubt Britney would have self released that album or leaked it lol.
